Peter Lynch is known for his highly successful stock picks at Fidelity Investments. He got his start at Fidelity after caddying for Fidelity’s president and other notables and went on to manage a fund which averaged a 29.2% annualized return since its inception.
- Peter Lynch gives money in several ways. He gives individually, through the Lynch Foundation, Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, and two charitable trusts. The Lynch Foundation supports religious organizations, education, and cultural/historic organizations.
- Lynch prefers to support ideas that he thinks can spread, such as First Night. First Night is an arts and culture celebration on New Year’s Eve, to ring in the New Year. Another example is City Year, a community service program that began in Boston and has since spread to cities around the country.
