Martha Ingram

Martha Rivers Ingram made it a point for her life to have the most meaning for herself, and to the many others whose lives she has touched. In 2008, she ranked 147th on the Forbes profiles of the 400 Richest in America and 524th on the Forbes World’s Richest People. But she did not let her business and her wealth define her. Instead, she has used her wealth for the benefit of those who are in the most need.

Today, she holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Nashville, Tennessee-based Ingram Industries Incorporated. Martha Ingram also served as split off company Ingram Micro’s Chief Executive Officer from May 1996 to June 1999. Ingram Micro was listed in the Forbes Global 2000 as well as one of The 100 Best Mid-Caps in America.
