Hopefully Christy, you will see this note. First, Christy let me say how sorry I was about John, sent you a card to Benton at that time. Hope you received it. I've been reading in the computer about how you've been and what you have accomplished. In my heart, donating the home in National City was an extremely beautiful jester. Read about your son, Luke and was extremely glad it all had a happy ending. God bless and keep you and Luke. Al

Please take a look at my website- arminarmconnection.org to read the story of my journey to Haiti after the devastating earthquake. Please help me to help my fellow haitians. It is people like you that can truly make a difference. It has gone out of people's minds, but the need there is still critical. Thank you very much.

The Barbershop chorus that I am in is committed to preserving the barbershop sound through programs at the school and going throughout the community singing at resthomes and community events . We because of the economy have been forced to apply for help to keep this organization going . The asking price is $20,000 or any part of which would help us. Also I am new at my job and would appreciate any assistance which you said might be available in your video in securing grant money. If you have some one available to talk to me and give me some pointers I am on my own here. Yours truly Clifford Crocker clclebaron3@aol.com

All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am a breast cancer survivor - in remission nearly 2 years now.

I was diagnosed with HER2, a more aggresive type of breast cancer.

Was it not for Mr. Perelman's contribution (read gift to women living with breast cancer), donating money for the research and development of HERCEPTIN and by the grace of GOD many women wouldn't have another chance at life.

I not being a member of a medical fund was fortunate enough to be chosen to be a trial patient by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals receiving HERCEPTIN and all this due to people like Ronald Perelman who cares.

GOD BLESS YOUR MR. PERELMAN FOR HAVING A KIND HEART!

I read on CNN that a lot of billionaires were giving away half of their wealth to charity. A nice idea, but is anyone cognizant of the fact that Americans are in need, too? Hundreds of thousands of us have exhausted all of our unemployment benefits and have no income at all. I, personally, don’t know anyone who still has a job. I’ve been unemployed for over two years. I’m down to the last of my money. I’ve had to go on food stamps, for the first time in my life (after being in the workforce for 45 years, supporting myself). I can’t possibly pay my bills, so I’m going to have to file bankruptcy. I wrote a rent check the other day, knowing I have no funds to cover it – my overdraft protection will cover it…for this month. If I don’t find a job by the middle of this month, I will have NO WAY TO PAY THE RENT NEXT MONTH. I’m 60 years old. I have no family, no friends who can help, no assets, and I’m horrified of the idea of being homeless. But, I may have to face that crisis. My unemployment benefits ran out a couple of months ago, and the bill that the President signed a week or so ago (to extend benefits) doesn’t restore benefits to me, and others who are considered the “long term unemployed.” What do I do, to keep from sleeping in a cardboard box, while you’re giving money to all sorts of charities, none which address America’s unemployment problem? WE need help, too! How about setting up some program to help long-term unemployed Americans? Or a job creation program? Certainly, our government doesn’t care – Congress is too busy taking vacations to sign a bill to extend our benefits for another month or two. And we all know how much Obama has done to create jobs…

The HOPE Project, located in Tenaha, TX, applied fot a grant from the T.L.L. Temple Foundation. Wayne Corley, the Executive Director, called to let us know they wouldn't be able to expand their support to include our initiative this year. Mr. Corley mentioned Temple Webber, Jr., a trustee of the Temple family foundation, who suggested that we get in touch with you since Mr. Duncan was raised in Shelby County and might be interested in helping us with our project. Is it possible the Dan Duncan Foundation might be interested in our initiative for a dental clinic for the uninsured and apartments to house medical and dental students with us on rotation? May we send an application to you?
